Playing Craps

Craps is a game that people either love or hate. The people that hate craps are the ones that would prefer to sit by themselves, alone, at the slot machines and have the night to themselves. The people that love craps are the ones that go to the casino for the fun, the excitement and the social side of it all. Craps tables are the loudest, most packed and often most fun tables that you'll ever see at a casino.

Craps is also a complicated game to play. There are numerous bets, and you can bet in different ways for different things depending on what stage of the game you're at. It's because of this that a lot of people get scared of trying to play craps for the first time. But you shouldn't back away form this game because you'll be missing out on a lot of fun and excitement.

Rules

The rules of craps can be complicated, but the basic idea of the game is that you have to bet on if you think the player will roll a 7 before the roll their point number again.

The way that craps is played is slightly more involved. When a game starts, the dice are handed to a new player, and that player rolls the dice to establish a Point. Point numbers can be either 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. If a player rolls any other number, they must roll again until they establish their point number.

Once a player establishes their point number, they have to shoot again until they roll their point number again. If the player shoots a 7 before they roll their point number for the second time, they seven out, and loose the game, and the next player takes their turn.

There are a lot of different ways to bet in craps and there's no room to explain them all here. The best way to learn the rules of Craps is to download the free casino software from the casinos that we list here, and play the free-money craps tables. This lets you learn the game without risking your money until you're more confident about your knowledge.
